Lovechild Childcare offers a play-based, emergent curriculum where we follow the child’s lead in learning. We support play-based learning through documentation, making their learning visible. We believe relationships are the foundation for life-long learning. We are strongly guided by Ontario’s pedagogy for Early Years, The How Does Learning Happen Document. We aim to provide environments and experiences to engage children in active, creative, and meaningful play and inquiry.
Brittney Bobbitt is the owner and operator of Lovechild Childcare, with extensive experience in leadership, supervisory and school-based early childhood education roles. In 2020, she received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Early Childhood Education.
Lovechild Childcare is a place where love, learning, and play come together seamlessly.

Before- and after-school care for Trillium Woods Elementary School or Holly Meadows Elementary School, based on availability.
About our Program
Lovechild Childcare is a private, unlicensed home childcare program.
Although we are not licensed by the Government of Ontario, we voluntarily use the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) and its regulations to guide our policies and practices.
The act helps ensure the health and safety of children and child care providers in child care settings.
Lovechild Childcare offers a high-quality, home-based childcare program for up to five children under the age of 13.
Our program runs from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Extended hours may be arranged for an additional fee.
Our fees are based on a full day program (8-5 to use as you need) Part time schedules (M/W/F or T/TH) can be arranged upon availability.
We will provide a lunch and two snacks for your child.
Our daily schedule is flexible with a large value on being in the outdoors.
I pride myself on relationships; I believe fostering good relationships with children and families is the most important thing to establish success.
I really value being a co-learner, co-explorer, and co-investigator with the children, creating a bond with the children so they feel safe to trust their own capabilities.
I see value in creating clean, uncluttered, inviting spaces for children, where they can be inspired to ask questions, wonder and get excited.
When I see a child’s face light up as they explore or watch them clap their hands with pride,
I know I am on the right track. I am so grateful that you have trusted me to be such an important role in your child’s start to childcare.
