Lovechild Childcare offers a play-based, emergent curriculum where we follow the child’s lead in learning. We support play-based learning through documentation, making their learning visible. We believe relationships are the foundation for life-long learning. We are strongly guided by Ontario’s pedagogy for Early Years, The How Does Learning Happen Document. We aim to provide environments and experiences to engage children in active, creative, and meaningful play and inquiry.
In 2020, Brittney Bobbitt the owner and operator has over 14 years experience in both leadership education as well as supervisory roles in licensed childcare. I have also been working as a DECE in the school setting for 3 years. I was blessed to receive the Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Early Childhood Education.
I am fully CPR and first aid certified, Food Handlers Certified and have 12 hours of ongoing professional development every year that holds me in good standing with the college of Early Childhood Educators.
Lovechild Childcare is a place where love, learning, and play come together seamlessly.

About our Program
Lovechild Childcare is not licensed by the government of Ontario. However, we still chose to run our business in guidance from the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) and its regulations. The act helps ensure the health and safety of children and child care providers in child care settings.
Lovechild Childcare offers a home based, high quality childcare centre for six children under the age of 13.
Our program runs from 7:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Extended hours can be arranged for an addition fee.
Our fees are based on a full day program (7:30-5:30 to use as you need) Part time schedules (M/W/F or T/TH) can be arranged upon availability.
We will provide a lunch and two snacks for your child.
Our daily schedule is flexible with a large value on being in the outdoors.
I pride myself on relationships; I believe fostering good relationships with children and families is the most important thing to establish success. I really value being a co-learner, co-explorer, and co-investigator with the children, creating a bond with the children so they feel safe to trust their own capabilities. I see value in creating clean, uncluttered, inviting spaces for children, where they can be inspired to ask questions, wonder and get excited. When I see a child’s face light up as they explore or watch them clap their hands with pride, I know I am on the right track. I am so grateful that you have trusted me to be such an important role in your child’s start to childcare.
